DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

I often imagine what I would wear if I had a job in a ‘real’ office in a big city like New York or Los Angeles. At the moment I have an at home office where you can find me in my pajamas probably around three days of the week. Yup, super glamorous. As a big fashion lover I always have the desire to dress the part and completely live in the role I feel like I’m playing on some days. Today, when I visited downtown Los Angeles I was wearing a look which I’m sure I would wear if my job was at one of the ubercool offices that can be found in this area. I’ll admit: I’d most likely button up that shirt just a little more and I’d probably put the sunnies in my purse but other than that, this is pretty much office appropriate right? What do you guys wear to the office? I would love to find out! Big kiss, N.

    These are great pictures!

I am a final year law student and have attended plenty of work days. Unfortunately, office attire is a lot less glamorous then many imagine in the legal field 🙁 For women, nothing’s supposed to be too tight and any dress or skirt below the knees (or at least on). I like to just dress in a full suit, and often take my blazer off. I find it is the most comfortable, and well…in a way the most fashionable one out of the choices that I’d have.
I’m sure many other fields are given a lot more discretion in terms of what they can wear to the office though, whcih I must say I do envy a little 🙂 xx Lara

PS: As I write this I am at home in my pj’s as well though

  • Zeker een prachtige kantoor outfit! Ik heb eigenlijk geen idee wat ik zou gaan dragen. Ik denk sowieso wel midi skirts! x

  • I love your look in this post! My favorite piece are the shoes. I have a similar pair in black.

My office work attire varies from day to day and season to season. I live in Florida, so the summers are super hot. I like dresses and skirts to keep cooler. Pencil skirts and shift dresses are definitely great go to options. They are easy to piece together with a jacket for a more formal business look.

Fridays are usually ‘Jean Days’, which are so exciting. Sounds silly but I look forward to a more versatile, comfortable outfit. It’s great to be able to take the Friday office jeans outfit to a Friday night on the town look. 🙂

Thanks so much for such a great post!

  • Yeah the glamorous part is the lounging in the PJS. I am guilty of that! I love the way you styled the oversized button down! Inspiration for future look!!!
