As much as I travel I absolutely love coming home to the city where I live in which is Amsterdam (which I’m sure all of you know!). I really enjoyed spending some time here the last two weeks, walking around the city and seeing all my friends. I’m off to Switzerland, England, France and the US these upcoming four weeks so before leaving I thought it would be fun to write down three things I love about my home town! So here we go:
1. Canals: I don’t think I ever get home at night without a full camera roll of pictures of the cute canals. They make me happy, they make me feel at home and they just have the most cozy feeling. After living in Amsterdam for six years now I still can’t believe the uniqueness and feel they have.
2. Bikes: If I’m in the USA for longer than a month I always start to miss our outdoor lifestyle so much. I really dislike traveling by car or public transport and I’m in love with the way we all get around on our bikes here. It’s a good work out, you actually get to enjoy a city and see something and it doesn’t cost any money!
3. Museums: During my Museology student days I explored all the museums in the city and I still love going to my favorites. There is such a big variety and you can always wander in all the fantastic museums for hours. My favorites are the FOAM, the Stedelijk Museum and the Rijksmusem.
It would be so fun if you guys would tell me your hometown in the comments and something you love about your hometown! Have a lovely day everyone, kisses!
